Three Rivers Intelligence is two people who spent twenty years each getting good at very different things, and then found that our clients kept needing both.

Brooke Johnson

Partner, Accounting Services

B.S. Accounting; M.A. Educational Leadership, nonprofit emphasis

Brooke holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s in educational leadership with an emphasis on nonprofit management. She has more than twenty years of accounting experience focused on education and nonprofit organizations.

That focus matters. Fund restrictions, federal grant compliance, multi-program cost allocation, and the particular way a nonprofit board needs to see its numbers are not edge cases in her work — they are the work, and have been for two decades.

Chris Johnson

Partner, Software & AI Services

B.S. Information Systems Management

Chris holds a bachelor’s degree in information systems management and has spent over twenty years in software engineering. His work has spanned email marketing, e-commerce product management, engineering leadership, and DevOps and platform engineering leadership and architecture.

More recently his focus has moved to AI-assisted engineering and automation: evaluating models and the tooling around them, controlling what they cost, and drawing clear lines around what they are allowed to touch.

If your organization needs an audit firm, a full-time controller, or a vendor we don’t compete with, we will say so on the first call rather than the third invoice.

We use AI heavily in our own work and we are specific about where it belongs. Nothing reaches your board, your auditors, or your funders without an experienced person having read it first.
